INCubatoredu provides students with the opportunity to experiment with entrepreneurship, by creating their own startup. Each class is supported by a coach or mentor to help students navigate the course and help with tasks related to washable feet insoles, or social applications; Students are given ample opportunity to experiment with ideas, while employing lean management principles.
As student teams progress through the curriculum, they learn how to refine and strengthen their startup ideas by conducting the exploration of ideas and customers, market research, prototyping building and pitching. This process fosters teamwork, communication, and problem solving capabilities, as well as teaching students to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Each team competes for funding at the INCubatoredu National Pitch, which occurs every year. The opportunity offers teams an opportunity to network with investors as well as expert advice from business professionals and is a renowned event for its shark tank-style pitch sessions.
