Chicago Urban League Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation provides entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to establish, develop and sustain their businesses. Through business mentoring sessions, networking events and access to financial resources suppliers can also obtain certifications for diversity in their supply chain. be obtained along with proposals for public and private contracts. Incubatoredu
INCubatoredu offers students the chance to experiment with entrepreneurship, by creating their own business. Every class is assisted by a mentor or coach to guide student teams through the curriculum and support initiatives related to washable shoe insoles or social apps; students have ample opportunities to try out their ideas using lean business practices.
Students will learn to improve their ideas as they progress throughout the curriculum. It includes market studies, research on customers and ideas research, prototyping, and pitching. The process helps foster cooperation, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, and also teaches students how to quickly adapt to change.
Every team is competing for funds during the INCubatoredu National Pitch, which is held annually. The event is known as a"shark-tank"-style competition and offers valuable occasions for teams to meet with investors.
