Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer believed Alexander Isak's behaviour in requiring a transfer to Liverpool was "a really bad try to find football".
Isak effectively went on strike in order to press through his British record ₤ 125million transfer to the Anfield club on Monday, declining to bet the Magpies at the start of the Premier League season.
Shearer said: "I didn't like how it got to the end. I do not think it's ever ideal that a gamer needs to go on strike and decline to play for a club whilst you're being paid and have a contract.

The previous England captain contributed to Betfair: "Alexander Isak is a good gamer, going to a terrific football club who will no doubt obstacle for all the huge prizes. But, as I said, I don't like how it took place. He'll have his reasons, I'm sure.
"We can thank him for what he did at Newcastle, however it's been an untidy scenario all summer.

Isak's representative Vlado Lemic sent out a message to talkSPORT, meaning bad sensation between his client and Newcastle.
He said: "It's good when you have somebody to be with, but it is even nicer when you understand who you will never be with again."
