INCubatoredu provides students with an authentic entrepreneurial experience while they develop their own product startup. The students are guided by a mentor or coach during each class, who help with their projects, such as washable foot inserts and social applications.
Students will learn to improve their thinking as they move through the course. This includes conducting market research, idea and customer exploratory exercises, building prototypes and pitches. The process encourages communication and problem solving skills in addition to teaching students to swiftly change to new circumstances.
At the end of every year, each team participates in INCubatoredu National Pitch to compete in the search for funding to start their startup companies. This opportunity provides teams with valuable networking experiences for investors, as well as expert advice from business professionals - an event known for its shark tank-style pitch sessions.
